LSC235 challenge is to make a birthday gift (money)card, using a butterfly and chocolate brown cs.
I used brown cs and embossed the front and added a butterfly and a gift card to the inside.
Thanks for looking
I was asked for a template, so I thought I would share with everyone.
Base card 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches
inside 5 1/4 x 3 1/4
ribbon 10 x 1/4 inch
score base at 3 1/2 and 7 inches then fold up
mark 1/2 inch on each side of top and cut angle down to bottom of card
The top will be 4 1/2 inch and bottom is 5 1/2 inch
I embossed the front with an embossing folder
Top flag was cut using ek success embossed curved border punch. Each scallop is approx a 2 inch circle. You could probably make a template using 3, 2 inch circles and adhering together. You could also use any border punch you have of course
I cut slits along the top score approx 1/4 in from each side large enough for my ribbon to pass through, adhere ribbon on each side .
Cut the inside piece the same way as the card base, mark 1/2 on each side on top and cut angle down. then I cut slit 1 inch down 3 1/2 long in middle to tuck giftcard or money into. Stamp sentiment on inside
Center and adhered inside piece over ribbon ends
I used a button on the flap and used a sticky Velcro circle to hold close (not shown in photo)
Decorate as desired. Hope this is clear, thanks
