This is for this week's Crafty Secrets Challenge where we were to make a card that portrayed 'whatever the fair meant to us'. Well, living in Wisconsin Dairyland, the fair means to me lots of animals waiting to be judged, warm country colors, tons of straw to soak up the animals you-know-what, and flowers submitted for judging. The rooster on my card represents the animals, the prima for the flowers, the earthy, country colors for the colors of the fair, and the ric rac represents the straw. The image is from Crafty Secrets 'Homemade Images and Journel Notes' that my good friend Darlene sent me in some blog candy.

Beautiful card, Amy! I love the warm, homey colors with the rooster image, and the burlap rick-rack and flower are the perfect finishing touches. Thanks for playing and sharing!

Beautiful card! I too live in WI and we just had our county fair 2 wks. ago. First place I go is to see the poultry, so I really like your Rooster image.
Love that binder-twinder (better known in my neck of the woods as: Belgian Weld) ric rac.
