I finished making cards from all the 'paper napkin transfers' I did a few nights ago. This napkin was the most challenging to work with because the pattern was so strong and dominating. I think I tamed it down and I'm happy with my end products.
The Giraffe was inked up then edges 'rock & rolled' with a darker ink, then the the eyes and a few more spots colored with a Write Marker. It took 3 stampings to make the giraffe because he is layered and built up with each successor layer cut down smaller. Dimensionals separate the layers of the giraffe. Lastly, I sponged the edges of her neck and cheeks with tea-dye ink.
The oval was sponged while the nestability die was still in place.
I found instructions for the Paper Napkin Transfer technique here Forums at Splitcoaststampers
I would add to use a very hot iron and do not rush it; you're melting the plastic coating on the butcher paper to adhere the napkin.

I love all the giraffe cards. Layering the giraffes must have taken a lot of time (well spent if I may say). I like them all and especially this guy (or gal) who is having a good snack.

These are four beautiful cards. I love your ZEBRA (giraffe)! That is a wonderful stamp and your giraffe backgrounds are awesome. I like this one best with the greenery in the giraffe's mouth. Very cute. Great job!! Please check out the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge by clicking on the link below my signature. We would be honored to have one of your lovely creations in our weekly challenge.
