OMG! I hope the computer doesn't lock me up again. It seems as though I have only had time to do the IC or FS challenges lately. Since my kids have started school, I have since gotten over the stomach bug.
A few weeks ago we took the boys tent camping. It was alot of fun. While on our hike, we came across a field of these flowers. I thought it would be a good time to practice with my Nikon D80. So, I took some pictures of these flowers. (I am still learning how to use the camera). I only had it for 3 years now.
When I saw the FS Stamper Jojot known as Joanne and her wonderful gallery, I chose this card Surprise Card by jojot at Splitcoaststampers. She had an actual photo. What a great idea I thought.
I started out by printing the photo onto white c/s. I chose the photo to be a wallet size. I made the base of the card a 5 X 7 from black c/s. The blue panels are cut at 1 1/2in and the green at 3in. I stamped misc clouds on the blue and tree leaves on the green with coordinating inks. Sponged lightly around the edges. Added brads and adhered to card. I used the cb bubbles folder onto yellow c/s and adhered to black c/s. Adhered the photo to black c/s as well. I added polka dotted ribbon and tied. I also added the famous Faith dots around the outer edges with the signa pen.
I was telling my sister (stamp300) about my photo card and who I made it for. She laughed at me because those flowers I took on our hike were WEEDS! I think my mom will like it anyways. Do you?
Thanks for dropping by and have a wonderful Sunday!
Bonnie
Things I changed:
1. size of card 5 X 7
2. my own photo
3. added polka dot ribbon/dots
4. placement of brads

weeds or not...beauty is in the eye of the beholder - this is a wonderful card and you did a great job putting it together - I'd love to know the name of those 'weeds', those may be one flower I could plant in my garden that would grow without a lot of fussing ;-)

This is such a great card. I am not really good at identifying flowers and weeds - I just know what is pretty to me and these are pretty, pretty, pretty. I am guessing your mom will simply love this card. All the little details like your stamped clouds, those dots, and that ribbon just totally add to it and make it even more special. Super job!

Very nice Bonnie. How funny all this time you thought these were flowers, but actual weeds. This came out real pretty, love the cuttlebug and the colors you chose.
