i combined this weeks sketch challenge and this weeks Limited challenge into one. i used the wild about you lion, popped his face and mane and put paper glaze on the mane only.
the papers are from Stampin up.
the goal was to make a "manly card" ~ hope this fits!

Janice, love the way you popped up the Lions face - and the fun colours that you used!!! I'm just wild about this card!!! In my humble opinion, men don't neccasarily want cards of fishing/ outdoor scenes/ golfing/ old cars/ etc in dark colours. I used to make my dad house mouse cards - and in his admiring way - he'd say to me - you sure can't go wrong with those rats!!* the house mice! * LOL!! I miss him - he passed away of cancer two years ago at the age of 66. Boy he was fun!! Thanks for the thought!

Great masculine card! That lion is awesome with the popped up head and the sentiment is certainly perfect. Love your dp with the stripes and great colors.

Just fabulous with those stripes and papers! Oooh, do I ever love that piercing and that magnificently colored lion! Great balance of all those textures.
