I'm availing of Cindy's sneak preview for the teaparty tomorrow, as seen on HER BLOG last week. It's also the moon, from her current challenge on the CCEE Challenges.
I don't have one single lighthouse stamp.
This template came from Circle of Crafters.
Plan A was to put the scripture verse *Your Word is a lamp unto my feet* on it.
DH says plan A, while not criminal, would be a shame. A big shame. And he wants to send this card to a friend, so plan A bit the dust. To be honest, I don't know where I'd have put it, except to cover the ground under the lighthouse, which I am not very happy with.
A2 dark navy base. The main panel was white card, cut out the lighthouse, masked the sun and sponged the background - Tim Holtz Distress Inks, Faded Jeans and Weathered Wood. Masked the background and sponged the moon - Antique Linen. Did the iris folding with foil papers. Edged the panel with gold, and added lightbeams coming from the lighthouse.
Where I grew up, if I climbed to the top of the big pine tree outside my window, I could see at least 3 lighthouses. And my brother had the coolest lighthouse bedside locker that my dad made. The bottom was big enough to be a dolls house for us to play with, two floors, with a door that hinged out. Then there was a smaller level with two more floors, again with a door. Then there was a little cage at the top with the light in it. I can't believe my brother let it go the first time they moved house! FOr dolls house, please read teddy bears - for both my brother and me .

Lovely work. Iris fold is my favorite. Sounds like you may have lived in Maine. I love it there. And that locker sounds fantastic. What a fun memory to keep!

Hi Sabrina! Glad to see you on the CCEE side and the Teapot side! Hee! Love your little moon!
Me thinks this is a hint of the beauty we will see in Nova Scotia at Peggy's Cove! What a wonderful card! You are so talented to do that folding technique thingy! I love this card!!!
No worries girlfriend about the fish...we need a back up light house big time! What if the lighthouse topples over? What if one of the tea potters accidently runs the boat up the shore and crashes into it? What if we get so many fish it stinks up the place and it has to be torn down? What if the cows, frogs, and bees have become attached to us and follow us here and we need a second light house to put them up in?? Well, we are covered with your second light house!
Your card is wonderful! Love to hear about your lighthouse experiences growing up and its wonderful this challenge took you back to those memories! See ya around......
