Better late than never, I guess. I started on this yesterday and had trouble finishing it. So I moved on to today's Featured Stamper, then went back and finished this.
Stef always chooses such fun sites and I've missed a bunch of IC challenges. For this one I was inspired by Elephant Watering Hole . I had this new elephant set from FireCracker Designs and I just love it.
The elephants were stamped on white, a little color added w/ markers and cut out. I created the bottom by using two color of the pink c/s, using the cb swirls folder, trimming around the top swirls and sponging on the pink, melon and peach inks.
The bg scene was stamped w/ the pink coral chalk ink onto the pretty in pink c/s. I sponged in the clouds w/ a self made stencil (thanks Mothermark!) and a little on the ground. Edged it w/ a white marker and attached to guava c/s that was embossed w/ the mesh folder. The card itself is a prescored c/s.
I stamped some extra tree, fronds and the sun, cut them out and attached w/ foam tape. Stickles was added to one tree, one frond and the swirls.
The sentiment was cut w/ a Quickutz oval and attached to a guava pc cut w/ the Spellbinders labels 2 die.
Thanks for looking! My blog:The Write Stuff. Sorry! I had to delete a bunch of really old posts from my blog & this is one of them

Oh my goodness! This is one fabulous inspired creation, Julie! I love your pink elephants! I read your description and recipe twice and still can't figure out how you did the swirls. They look flocked. Whatever you did is fantastic, girl! Love it! tsmfs
