I'm not a kid, but sometimes I like to create like a kid! Miss Gia is hosting the kids' VSN challenge today, and I don't have any kids to play with at home so I decided to do the challenge myself! She asked us to make placemats using food as our stamps. My produce drawer is running on empty (haven't been to the store in a few days!) But I found a lime and some baby carrots, so I used the lime as a paint brush to create these pine trees, and carved and cut the carrots to make the little brown tree trunks, the ornaments, and gold stars for the tops of the trees. I also added some sparkly paint as snow along the bottom. Thanks Gia for a super fun challenge! I feel like a kid in art class again.
