When I saw this fun Vintage Flower Loom from the Curiosity Shoppe, I was immediately inspired, because I actually purchased a vintage flower loom last year, and had never given it a try.
I had so much fun making my flower. It reminded me of days when I used to craft with my grandma ... making canning lid pin cushions, embroidering tea towels, weaving potholders on a loom. Such great memories.
I created a double layer flower and then stitched through the center with my pretty lame attempt at french knots. I attached it to Que Sera Sera cardstock and stamped some American Crafts flourishes and a Hero Arts sentiment to finish. I took it to work to hang in my cubicle. I love surrounding myself with art ... it relaxes me while I spend all day crunching numbers.

How perfect to be able to draw upon your wonderful childhood memories of doing things with your grandmother. Your card is a lovely testament to very special times.

This card is spectacular! Shame on you for calling your french knots lame--your card is beautiful from the top layer down! I now want a vintage flower loom!

Beautiful flower, Stef! Gosh, I have those memories too. Especially the potholders and weaving looms. I made so many when I was young that I still use them to this day LOL!
