I used a brayer to variegate the colors on the cardÂ…thanks for the challenge Julia!
I am enjoying my new toys from the convention I went to a couple weeks agoÂ…I bought lots of fun landscape images and my brayers is getting some use along with the new images.
-Tear a large sticky note in two pieces – one piece much smaller than the other.
-Masked off the ground portion of the panel with the smaller section of torn paper.
-Using a brayer inked in yellow brayer onto the lower portion of the panel and start off the cardstock rolling back and forth and side to side to avoid lines. Now add the orange in the same manner from the bottom and then the top of the panel, ink up a second time and repeat.
-Now cover the sky portion of the panel with the other piece of torn paper. Also place the first piece of torn paper used at an angle on the ground to add depth. Brayer on the lightest brown, then remove the angled paper and brayer on more the darker brown.
-Now itÂ’s time to add the images using a stamp positioner. The sun is my hand cut circle image using scrap rubber.
-A foam stipple brush was used to add some black to the ground area.
-Ink distressing was done on the brown and orange panels along with stamping the weave design on each one.
-My husband always wants to know why we put those thingys (brads and other embellishments) on the cardÂ…so IÂ’m trying to do some without those thingys just to show him I can and itÂ’ll still look okayÂ…well, I guess it does!
