This is the card I made for today's WT - variegated. When I first read it I thought leaves - so after thinking about it for some time and not coming up with any other ideas, leaves it was. The first leaves I punched and bleached - well, if you didn't know they were bleached I don't think you could tell. So I dug out some Canson Mi-Teintes paper, and got a much better variegated result with that. I stamped the owl and embossed him, thinking to colour him in. But after I'd put his leafy bower around him, I left him plain. The sentiment is popped up. I added a felt button and narrow satin ribbon to give the owl something to be standing on.

Sabrina, I love all those little punched leaves. The variation of colors is awesome. Makes me think of fall and cooler weather. I think leaving the owl uncolored really makes him stand out. Love that felt button. It adds such texture.

This is looks so adorably homespun!!! I think leaving the owl "naked" was the right choice. Your wreath of variegated leaves is terrific and the felt button is the perfect touch. Super!!
