First I used Alcohol Ink Smoosing* on Glossy White CS and then applied the mask and stippled ink over top. I removed the mask and stippled a bit more ink to lessen the contrast for the background. The butterfly was stamped onto another piece of Alcohol Ink treated paper and reverse masking was used to add colour to the butter fly. Ink was stippled on the edges of the butterfly. I donÂ’t think you can see it in the picture but Clear Star gel pen was added to around the butterfly which does make it pop a bit more.
* Alcohol Ink Smooshing can be done on glossy white paper or SU Whisper White. For smooshing you lay out the non-stick craft sheet, add a BIT of the metal mixative (it goes a long way), add your alcohol ink (2-5 colours), and add blending solution. Place your paper face down onto the mixture and twist and lift off. You can smoosh the same piece again or use another piece by adding more Blending Solution. The more times you reuse by adding blending solution the lighter and softer the effect.
