This has to be one of the most time consuming cards that I've ever made. It literally took me about two hours to finish it. First, I stamped some ivy along the top of my white cardstock.
Everything else is stamped and cut out. I stamped the monkeys, pineapples, banana, the truck, and graduation caps and then I cut them all out.
The graduation hats are from SU's Little Layers Plus stamp set. Once I stamped the hats I needed to cut them down to size so that they would fit on the monkeys.
For the pickup truck I used the paper piecing technique.
To make the road I cut a piece of black cardstock and I added the yellow lines using my zig painty gold marker.
The signs that the monkeys are holding are computer generated and they read 'Erin Graduated' and 'It's A Party We'll Be There'. I used my SU Word Window to punch them out.
Finally, I added some sponging along the edges of my white cardstock and the truck's tires, bumper, and door handle are colored using my zig painty silver marker.

WOW! This is one of the styles that I use the most. It is very time consuming but the cards tell a unique story. I can't believe what a fabulous job you did of cutting out the monkeys. The card is crisp and clean and well thought out. I for one, appreciate your work!

Fantastic card! I read the story behind it... confetti AND glitter, that's just downright evil... LOL! Don't you wish you could be a fly on the wall when your friend opens the card

This card rocks! The design and all the detail are awesome! I love paper pcng and it does take a long time! I wondered if I could show this as a sample w/my brand new set of Monkey Business stamps I'm going to sell on EB? I of course would give you credit and I reference splitcoasters in all of my stamp listings. Thanks for letting me know.
