I created this card in a last ditch effort to play along with last week's Color Throwdown challenge (CTD54). The colors were:
- Blush Blossom
- Pumpkin Pie #which I don't own...so I went with orange#
- Really Rust
- Basic Gray
Okay...my issue is with orange. I don't know what it is, but orange and I are NOT friends! Just don't get along. So, I tried multiple different stamps and ideas, but nothing just quite came together how I wanted it to, because the orange wouldn't let me focus. Somehow, at the end of the night...just before midnight #though I know the challenge was long over by then), I came up with the idea you see above.
Clean and simple. No fancy footwork here...really. Oh and you can barely see it in this photo, but I did stamp Blush Blossom flowers with the Really Rust flowers. I wasn't too worried that the lighter color didn't shine through because some of the rust turned orange when I heat set the embossing powder and dazzling diamonds :O)
Oh, and I almost forgot! I followed Mercy Kerin's sketch challenge from last Tuesday also, MTSC33.
Okay, I'm off to bed. I will most likely post more about this on my blog, Mindless Creativity, tomorrow sometime.
