I created this card in a last ditch effort to play along with last week's Color Throwdown challenge (CTD54). The colors were:
- Blush Blossom
- Pumpkin Pie #which I don't own...so I went with orange#
- Really Rust
- Basic Gray
Okay...my issue is with orange. I don't know what it is, but orange and I are NOT friends! Just don't get along. So, I tried multiple different stamps and ideas, but nothing just quite came together how I wanted it to, because the orange wouldn't let me focus. Somehow, at the end of the night...just before midnight #though I know the challenge was long over by then), I came up with the idea you see above.
Clean and simple. No fancy footwork here...really. Oh and you can barely see it in this photo, but I did stamp Blush Blossom flowers with the Really Rust flowers. I wasn't too worried that the lighter color didn't shine through because some of the rust turned orange when I heat set the embossing powder and dazzling diamonds :O)
Oh, and I almost forgot! I followed Mercy Kerin's sketch challenge from last Tuesday also, MTSC33.
Okay, I'm off to bed. I will most likely post more about this on my blog, Mindless Creativity, tomorrow sometime.

I know what you mean about ORANGE, but sometimes it just WORKS and you've made it do that and then some here Kristin!! Love the sparkle on the image, the flower, papers, ef b/g and layout. Great job Kristin! I didn't realize I was so far behind in your gallery!! Been sick, but better now!! TFS!
