Boy I haven't tried to be so random in a long time! I DID use the Midnight Madness sketch, really I did. If you look hard enough it there. LOL
This is a card for my dear sweet dad. His birthday is this week and I wanted to pour my love into the design.
I made background paper with just words of things I remember about my dad. Example: We drove down the street in our '68 VW Fastback and I handed him a mini Reese's PB cup. I took off the foil, but failed to inform him the paper liner was still attached. He chewed and chewed and then started to giggle. He realized he was chewing on the paper liner. What a sweet memory! So for the background paper you'll find words for the car and the candy.
I used images from my Art Explosion 600,000 images CD's because I wanted a retro look and I did some color changing to the iamges to make them look like they were taken out of an old newspaper. Lots of distressing and Ranger Distress ink and I think it turned out okay!
The sentiment is from two Verve stamps sets Dad's Day and Wishful Elegance.
Paper is local scrapbook/paper store called Paper Express.
Thanks for looking!
