What an amazing wonderfully filled gallery Joanne has. It was a pleasure to browse her creations today. For my inspiration, I chose two of her cards. This one for my layout, and this one for the meadow and sky. .......details.....
I just loved her sky and flower garden. I needed a good grassy type bottom to make my cow look like she was in a meadow, because I didn't draw any legs on her. hehe
I have had this card on my refrigerator for about 10 or more years. I decided to try to recreate the cow for my card. So I drew the cow, colored with re-inkers. Then did the scene around her.
Masked her off, and stamped the sky with cool Caribbean, then sponged bashful blue over top. Oh yeah, forgot. I masked the sun before doing the sky, then reversed the mask and sponged it summer sun.
Used several different stamps for my meadow. The hollow images were colored with copic markers, one of the weed type images was colored by putting marker to stamp then huffing before stamping. The rest were just stamped using different colored ink pads.
Sponged over the grassy area after stamping images to fill in blank spots.
Well, thanks Sleepyinseattle for letting us CASE you today. It has been a pleasurable experience....TFL :0)

You're in the wrong line of business, Nutmeg! Look at this handdrawn beamootiful cow! You and your drawing! yikes, what an artist who creates the funest of the funest cards. Super mool that you used 3 of Joanne's cards. Wont she be surprised when she sees what you've gone and done with her 3 masterpieces. have you ever thought about volunteering some of your time teaching underprivledged/developmentally challenged children? You would be so great at that!

Cathy, this is totally awesome and I agree you should be designing a line of stamps with your artistic talent. Seriously, if you haven't checked into that yet, you should. You already have a loyal following here and I know you would do very well. I would absolutely, positively buy your stamps!
I love this enderaring cow in her field of flowers, with the big long eyeleashes. How udderly adorable!!
Thanks so much for playing, you have really helped to make my day a happy one!
Hugs,
Joanne

Has this been the week of the cow or what? I love this one - she looks so happy and happy cows make the best milk - right. Well done!
