This is for IC192 and Bellacor Vases were our inspiration. Here is a link to the vase that inspired my project. http://www.bellacor.com/fullsize.cfm?Sku=388H80196 I love to create ocean scenes and I purchased this Crafty Secret set at the CHA Supershow last week. I thought it my perfect chance to use it. I had a hard time coming up with a good base card color combination and ended up using Baja Breeze and Blue Bayou. Sadly I am not one of those organized card makers that sets out all the paper, ink, etc before I start. I just couldn't see painting this little Victorian girl in a scene of light and bright beach colors. I know straw hats in that period were most likely always straw colored. I decided to keep to darker colors and just added a little brightness in her little sailor dress. The whole scene is watercolored and I especially love the light touch of yellow in the blue sky. The ribbon is white SU taffeta that I sponged Sandal ink on to age. I'm not wild about the frame and background layers but I do love the how the scene turned out..

Simply gorgeous! Your watercoloring is amazing! I like the way you framed it and finished it off- it draws your eye to that precious image! TFS!

Oh Kittie, you make me wish to be beside the sea right now. I do like the frame - I think it gives a real sense of depth to the scene so that you feel you could step into it.
