Our wonderful hostess for inspiration challenges, miss "Smilyn Stef" asked me to make a card for the inspiration challenge. I found this website that had really cool vases, and passed along the info to Miss Stef! I guess she agreed.
Anyway, I am truly honored to be chosen to make the IC inspiration card, thank you Stef. For those of you who are seeing this card early, please do not participate in the challenge until Saturday. I had to post early as I won't be home.
I really liked the lines of the vase to the right, and I loved the colors too. I used ww as my base, then I used my choc chip pad and went around the edges of the card, I smudged the choc chip to mock the top and bottom of the card.
To create the curves, I used my SU flowerbrads holder #round# and traced the shape, then I measured to make sure the sides were even, and then cut the shape out with scissors, I repeated the process on the bottom of the card.
To mock the colors of the vases, I used my dauber, and stamped more mustard and creamy caramel in various spots on the card.
I used my embrace life set and chose close to cocoa as the color to stamp in. I also used the flowers from, Eastern blooms. I stamped the bamboo in old olive.
My main image, I used old olive, and choc chip, I colored with creamy caramel. I wanted to repeat the drama of the choc chip along the edges and on the main image panel. I mounted my image on kiwi kiss.
I finished my piece with a choc chip ribbon.
I really hope you enjoy this challenge, there is so much to choose from. This really is a unique artistic gallery of vases! TFL and again thanks to Smilyn Stef for letting me have this great honor.
Have a wonderful day creating!!!!
