I made this for my niece. She almost doesn't need diapers anymore!!!
I drew an oval lightly in pencil as a guide for where the ribbon ought to go.
At first I was trying to stitch the ribbon. That turned out to be nightmarishly difficult and extraordinarily slow. So instead I used the tape gun and put adhesive over the penciled oval. Then I laid down the ribbon over the adhesive. Then I used more adhesive to just stick the pleats together.

SO cute! You must be very patient to pleat in an oval shape! I thought pleating in a straight line was challenging!

Hey Sophie.... What a cute card. Melody is going to love it with all that pink.. Surely do love your watercolouring. You do such a good job of it......I know what you mean about the pleats lol. I had the same problems. good job.....

Love your pleated ribbon oval!! These are great colors, too. Such a lovely uncluttered design--those buttons were the perfect embellishment. Terrific job on this challenge!
