I've been showing a lot of my friends how to do my dash-dot-dash technique that I learned in architectural rendering classes in college. Finally, my parents' hard earned $$ is coming into good use!! Anyway, to do this technique, you make long lines (dashes) in varying lengths and then when you come to stopping point or feel the need to pick up your pen, you make a dot or leave a space. Then you make another line (dash). This should be randomly done and should not looke like a set pattern. It's great to use on the All About U set and the larger alphabet sets or when adding highlights to an image. So get yourself the white gel pen, it's a good one. Have fun!

Love this! And especially because I am a dash dot freak!!! I usually get carried away with the dots and sometimes put two or three together!!! This is so cool, my Dad was an Architecht and I used to watch him "draw" all the time! Never knew I picked that up from him! tfs

Thanks for sharing this wonderful dashdotdash technique. It looks fabulous! Love all the background work you have done with this card and the destressed paper details.

Michelle - thank you for this - it is so great to see your example (since it is totally your technique being showcased on SCS). The beauty is in the randomness of the technique. You certainly don't want to follow a pattern because it is less pleasing to the eye - it detracts from the image.
This will forever be known as Mish's dot-dash technique!
This card is missing something - hmmm - oh yeah, postage and an envelope - addressed to ME!

Love the card Michelle! I've done the dot dash alot and had no idea it came from an architectural design. It definitely looks great w/ the large alphabets.
