Good morning! Well, this is only my 3rd attempt to making a card. This wasn't my first choice because I was going to do the red/black flower one into a dress. I guess I was trying to hard on it. Oh well, so I came up with silly one.
The Inspiration Challenge for today was from the Heavenly Hostess store that has some wonderful aprons in it. I chose this apron here:http://www.heavenlyhostess.com/aprons_fiesta1.html. I wanted something that I can do rather quickly because it was getting late and I wasn't going to give up. Plus my feet were swelling due to me standing the whole time.
I started out by cutting strips of ribbons accordingly to the apron. I left one red ribbon off because I knew I wouldn't have room for the other red one if I added the purple ribbon. I attached the ends of the ribbons with glue dots to the back of the black c/s. (separate piece). I used a regular hole punch and punched each color c/s 7 times and glued in place. I didn't have any roses as primas, so I used 3 different poinsettia primas for the rose. I added a brad to finish. Adhered with glue dots. I added a piece of chipboard to the back of the c/s with the ribbon to make it stand out a little because it would of been hard to see against the black base of the card. I enjoyed this challenge but wished it didn't take me all night. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend. Thanks Stef!

We were really on the same wave length this morning!!! I used the same apron and the results are similar in many ways! It was also not my first choice but because most of my supplies are packed for an all day crop, I didn't have many things to work with.
Love how you added the dots to simulate the fringe on the inpiration apron! Great touch!! Your card is much more elegant than mine turned out! Great job!!!
