I made this card for a special lady, at work, who was having a special birthday....Through many trials & tribulations in life, including being a Breast Cancer survivor, she continues to smile and make people laugh! Truly Amazing....so her cards could be nothing less than showing that....so this was my card to her....the other Special Birthday card in my gallery was by special request from her other co-workers.
This was my first endeavor at the Flower Pot Pocket Card...and as usual, I got a bit carried away....but the flowers were larger than I first thought so the card grew to accomodate a full bouquet of whimsical, happy flowers....I kinda like it!!!! More Importantly - She thoroughly enjoyed it!!! so no matter what, that made my day!
I used tons of cut outs...shaped them, colored them, enhanced them....blinged them, because we can't have enough bling!
I cut each of the shapes out, "distressed" the edges of each flower with a subtle rose pink and layered them...some flat and some with pop dots. I have curled the ends of each flower to add dimension....inserted various leaves and swirls....I think that the bright lime green adds to the whimsey of the presentation! I added layers of flowers and swirls to the back too - all flat attachments - to hide the long card. Once the flower pot was fully assembled, I sprayed the whole front of the card with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist = Pearl.....it gave it such a nice sparkle and added to the whimsy!
I added some Bazzil Pearls and (can't find the brand - Sorry!) cabuchaun jewels and Stickles
The Pot was cut of Bazzil paper and the sides were distressed with Ranger Ink to give it some dimension. The rims were trimmed with a MS border punch...added a ribbon though it blends with the flowers and is hard to see.
The "Card" bouquet ended up about 11 inches high and with the card about 13 inches high ( I said that I got carried away! )....NOT your typical card size but no envelope required! .... but it holds a happy place at her desk these days!

Hehehe, mine wouldn't even almost fit in an envie either, although it didn't end up as big as yours! I wasn't crazy about the very plain 3 flower ones myself, so mine leaned towards a very full bouquet as well. This is absolutely gorgeous, I know she loved it!
