I made these flowers and butterfly on Saturday after reading the StampinB's challenge to put a butterfly on a card. I love butterflies and I use them all the time on my cards. I wanted to challenge myself to something different. I decided to make a pink butterfly. That was a double challenge because I am not a pink person. The flowers and butterfly were stamped with versamark on pink dp. I heat embossed with gold ep. I used Aleene's tacky glue to glue the dp to two layers of white cardstock. While the glue was still wet, I cut the flowers and butterfly out and shaped the petals and wings. When that glue was dry, I painted a layer of Aleene's tacky glue over the surface.(I didn't use any good brushes, I used a cheap brush that came in those watercolor sets that my kids took to school and came home with all the colors mixed. You know what I'm talking about!) After the glue dried I layered the flowers and used a gold brad to hold them together. For the butterfly I added little clear rhinestones. For the leaf, tendrils and antenea, I stamped my versamark on a piece of white cardstock and heat embossed gold ep. I cut two thin strips of that for the antenea, I cut two thin strips for the tendrils. I curled the tendrils around a pencil. I took what was left and folded it in half and used a paper crimper. For the sketch challenge, it is hard to see my squares, but they are there. There are 3 little white squares. I should have had a little more space with the left square, but I didn't notice it until I was already done with the card. So send the challenge police after me.

Hello Neighbour
Your pink and gold is such a gorgeous combination, both the butterfly and the flowers. I'm honoured to be beside such a lovely card today - you can see my swallow is heading over because he thinks your flower garden is so pretty.
