I played tour guide this week in Austria. Our challenge this week is to take inspiration from salt, the mineral that gives my favorite Austrian city, Salzburg, its name. For this card, I used the salted background technique. I used artichoke, moss and kiwi reinkers. I spritzed the finished, but not quite dry, background with gold glimmer mist which added a cool effect.

I love it! When I first saw the thumbnail picture of your card I thought that the black ribbon was a bat & thought what a neat idea for halloween. It's a lovely card & I can't wait to try the salt technique. Thanks for sharing! Karen

This beautiful color scheme is just right for Austria. Love your beautiful salted background and that great tree. Good use of bling on this too. Thanks for a great tour, Michelle.

What neat background colors! I love how this turned out. The rhinestones and brushed gold CS adds the perfect amount of bling without going overboard. Very pretty.
