If you would like the template for directions and saying (there are four to a page) for this just send me your email and I will give it to you.
The actual ring is very simple to make. I usually make them to go with a gift I am already giving. The exception is I am a school teacher and we always end up with several people I don't know too well having babies or getting married so I make it my gift for those people. You can use them for almost any occasion. The ones I have done are babies, weddings, graduations and retirements. They are basically just a card holder.
Directions: Get a ring- I get mine at hobby lobby when they go 50% off (makes them .50 cents each). The are made by Jewelry Shoppe and are a 5" neckring w/2 hooks.
Next find some ribbon you want to use and tie it on the ring. You will want a bunch of different ones. When you how you like it place plastic beads on several of the ribbons at different intervals. (I normally put them on each one that I can) I use all sorts of clear and plastic colored beads that coordinate. Then just cut the ends to make them nicer looking and you are done. My are normally about a foot long. Let me know if you have any questions.
SAYING...
The Blessing Ring
Our Heavenly Father has given us the beautiful gift of His blessing. A blessing is not only speaking well-seasoned-good words, but also putting an action with those words of encouragement and praise. And so to you I give this Blessing Ring. Each time someone encourages you in a word or action, place it on your ring. It may be a card, a letter from someone special, a token of a fond memory, or a Bible verse from your quiet time. Soon it will become uniquely yours as you fill your ring with those dear remembrances that have blessed your life. Make your doorknob it's home so in your going in and coming in, you are reminded that you are blessed...and that you are a blessing to me and especially to God.
"The Lord will keep you from all harm. He will watch over your life; the Lord will preserve you going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore."
Psalm 121:7-8
