As I was titling this card 'CAS Birthday,' it dawned on me that last week's CAS challenge (that I missed) was to make a CAS birthday card, so what the heck - I added the number to my title!
The flower stamp and sentiment are from All Occasions. I often use the sentiment because it works so perfectly with CAS cards, but I rarely use any of the other stamps. I colored the image with markers. This is how I did the background. I embossed the frame with a Nestability. I was going to sponge with Summer Sun, but didn't want to get any color outside of the frame, so I used a piece of scratch paper and cut the flower out of it for a mask. I put the Nestability over the mask and the card front and sponged my Summer Sun. Then I removed the Nestability and sponged with Old Olive, leaving the mask in place. This gave me a 'mat' of Old Olive around the edge of the embossing.
