Wow, summer is extremely busy here at the Redmans House!! It seems I never have time to actually sit down to make a card these days. I will be gald when school is back in session!! Well, it enede up raining perrty good today which made it to where we couldn't go to the pool. So, I got the chance to make a card.
This is for today's Color Challenge 227 where we were to use Lavender Lace, Barely Banana, Going Grey, Black, and White. Well, when I saw the colors early this morning, I thought 'humm, what am I gonna do with these colors?'. I was still tired so I went back to bed and can you believe, I had a dream about this card. I guess in my subconcious these colors were screaming Halloween to me. The only thing I ended up getting wrong is I used Basic Gray instead of Going Grey.
I embossed the house with Black EP. I then daubered Barely Banana on the moon and windows. I daubered Lavender Lace for the sky. I daubered Basic Gray on the tombstone and daubered heavier Basic Gray on the ground. My bg is stamped with Weathered in black. Then I took a dauber and smeared Barely Banana all around to create the look it has. I added Bat Ribbon, an Owl Charm, and some brads, and viola, this is what I got.
I am way behind on my personal challenge to create a Halloween card each month and make 10 of them. So, I will be making 9 more of these except, I to figure out what to put in place of the owl if anything since I only had one of this owl.

This is fabulous! I never would have thought of these colors for Halloween, but what you've done with them is amazing! I especially like the background and the owl charm. Thanks for sharing!
