This is my entry for Cornish Heritage Farms Summer Design Star for Week 3 where you were to use a resist technique. I used Kim Hughes' Winter Wishes stamp set for this card. I started with a Basic Black base and then layered on a piece of silver shimmer paper. I used the emboss resist technique cutting my white paper to size and stamping the snowflakes in Versamark, covered my image with clear embossing powder and then heat set and embossed. After letting it cool for a bit, I then used sponged Soft Sky ink all over the paper and wiped up the excess with a Swiffer sheet. I then stamped my snow lady image in Encore Silver Ink on white paper and cut and embossed with an oval Nestability. I then used a scallop oval Nestability and another larger oval Nestability and adhered my snow lady. I put little black dots in her eyes and adhered faux pearls where the buttons should be. I used silver and light blue Pearl-Ex on the snow lady's body and scarf. I stamped my sentiment in black Memento ink and punched out with an oval punch and layered that onto black paper punching out with a scallop oval punch. I then adhered my layers and tied silver cord around a few times and centered my sentiment on Dimensionals attaching a silver snowflake brad from The Paper Studio and putting a faux pearl in the center of that. I also sponged a bit of silver ink onto my blue snowflake background as well. I hope you find some inspiration from this card and thank you for looking.
Additional details are on my blog, close-ups, and other fun and great projects!
