A coworker is having surgery over the summer, so I thought I'd send her some sunshine to enjoy inside.
I wanted to use sketch challenge 236, and for some reason could not get it to come together. After giving it a day, all of a sudden everything fell into place-isn't it nice when that happens?
I stamped the MFT image onto PTI rustic white and colored with prismacolor pencils and baby oil. I stamped the hat onto PTI lemon tart cardstock, added some color to the flower and some light shading, cut it out and attached it with foam tape.
I stamped the swirls onto bordering blue-I can't believe I haven't used this color yet! Such a wonderful sunbleached blue. I distressed all the edges, including peeling the corners apart a bit. I added the sunshine flower with two buttons with some jute twine.
I happened to have picked up a random rubon pack at big lots--and what do you know, "sunshine" was one of the words *and* the "Sending You" part of the sentiment stamp fit perfectly with it!

Well, now, Meg this is certainly a beachy summery kind of card that will most assuredly make your colleague feel like s/he is definitely outside! I love the soft and subtle colors with that perfect image. Wow, girl!
