I have a gal pal who will be celebrating her 45th birthday. You know what that meansÂ…I was on a mission to create another birthday card. I was inspired by quite a few things when creating this card. First offÂ…It was easy to be inspired by this weekÂ’s Clean and Simple Challenge #22 as it was about items with a birthday theme; right on time, if you ask me.
Then, I was inspired by this week’s Sketch Challenge #236. I like the design of it as it is pretty clean and simple. While viewing this challenge’s gallery of others creations, I came across this beautiful card and was immediately inspired by the color combination…so I decided to use it. The inside of the card reads, “You’re twenty with 25 years of experience.” This sentiment was inspired by the gal herself as she has a great sense of humor and I figured she would appreciate it, which she did.
I really love how the card turned out AND she loved it too! Mission Accomplished.

Oh my, Alberta, is this ever one spectacular card! I'm so lovin' those flowers and your magnificent design and papers. Of course, I admit I do feel badly for your mature gal pal, but, like they say, i'ts gotta go sometime. She will just love this = it's perfect.

What a beautiful card. I love your orange flowers especially the one against the DP. The sentiment is pretty good. I guess I have 26 years of experience!
