Lynn had a great card-fold for the TLC today. I made a card using In The Wild yesterday, and still had the set on the desk, along with some spritzed tissue paper and some old collage papers, so I used those again. The tissue paper was left from an attempt to recreate Stamper Dogs Faux Silk with a POP without looking at her video, because DH was using my PC.
I used some orange Bazzill to cut the base from the template Lynn linked us too. For the side panels, I cut some collage paper to fit and scored the folds BEFORE sticking, to make sure that they would fold properly. Then I sponged all the edges with Vintage Photo. For the main panel, I cut another piece of collage paper 1/4" smaller than the front, distressed the edges and sponged them. My giraffe panel was made by stamping the giraffe on the front of some tissue paper that had been spritzed with dilute Tattered Straw and crinkled up. I used yellow pigment ink and a brown marker, using the thumping technique to make the giraffe look suitable blotchy. I also stamped him onto a scrap of white card, and sponged over him with a sandy coloured chalk, so that when I stuck this to the back of the tissue behind the giraffe stamped on the tissue, it would help the colours to stand out. Then I used spray adhesive to attach the tissue paper to some white card. I tore this to size and sponged the edges. Then I stamped on Pocket Silhouettes, using Versafine Olympia Green. I added photo corners punched from some blue leather-effect paper, to which I added little faux screws, punched from gold card and scored. The sentiments are from a Hero Arts set, stamped onto some scraps of collage paper. The round one was wiped with Versamark and embossed with clear EP, then I added a brad in the centre. The top one is tied to a PTI button with hemp. The sun was a lucky accident - I punched it out and thought I'd reached for some gold paint. Actually is turned out to be gold leading, which meant I could add a bit of texture to it.
