I played from this poster photo and used the single flower, white, pink but lighter and black for my color combo and the photo also reminded me of this layout IÂ’ve used before.
When I get in a slump I often go to poster sites which I have bookmarked and pull out some inspiration. Thanks for the challenge Stephanie, great choice!
-After die cutting the flowers I left the paper in the Nestibilities so it could act as a mask to add the two shades of pink.
-The center white is the center piece cut out of the larger flower and I embossed the dots by hand using the center die cut for the larger flower which is what I cut the black border with. The dots were sponged on.
-I used tacky glue to assemble the flower and attach it to the card.
-My white paper was a bit heavy for the Martha Stewart punch but I have a strong arm tool that helped it punch. You just have to get the angle right so it has room to punch.
-I used two pieces of scrap for the pink layer and taped it together as one piece after stamping for easier handling. The strip was stamped on the diagonal of the rubber image.
-The envelope was stamped with the lightest pink that was used on the flower and the back flap is also stamped.
