THIS UPLOAD TOOK A LONG TIME...Congratulations Dawn! What a well deserved honor for you today. I am a fan of yours and I do have some of your cards in my faves, so this is just my first of many today. Love your work, your kindness and engaging smile on your avatar. So this is the card I used as inspiration:
Used the same layout, different colors, my background is fishes, and I distressed instead of matting but used black mattin around the lighthouse image (thank you Grace). Chalked and colored, added another little bird on a post as one charm, then the funky fiber from Anne Ryan (yeah, I still have some left yay!) thought it would look good for a guy card. Added a thank you sentiment in french from SU.
Hope you like it, enjoy your day Dawn, I am!
EDIT: I had made this card using the "Chinese take out menu" Wendybell had prepared for us on friday. I was kind of lazy in coming back and editing, but I spoke to Lovely Linda and she convinced me to do so. Thanks Linda, it was sure fun talking to you yesterday, well being this morning for you about this time. Hope your coffee went down good with that porridge and yogourt!

I love this, Peggy! That lighthouse scene and the seagull on the post. Those are just terrific images and you've colored them so nicely. I've missed the challenges and seeing y'all, too. I've just had so many deadlines, I haven't had time to do any challenges.
