Roxie gave us a great sketch for today, this is my card for that challenge, though it is pretty versatile and I can see myself using this one over and over again. Since I still needed three more holiday cards for the CCC09 challenge for June, I decided to go with a holiday theme.
The images are from Lizzie Anne Designs' Snowmen and Holiday in the City sets, which coordinate with their yum-MAY DP, Winter Wonderland. I was trying to give this card a rustic hint. SU's Cranberry Crisp is used for the matting. I stamped the images onto Gina K. Luxury cardstock and colored them with Copic Markers. I wanted to add a hint of glimmer to the snow, so I used my Quickie Glue pen and sprinkled some glitter on the snow under the men and on the snowflakes. I tried to match the colors in the DP for the buttons and found some from Stampin' Up!'s Fresh Favorites button pack - I think they are supposed to be so saffron and old olive, but I am not sure. I found some embroidery floss in a color that matched the cranberry crisp and adhered the buttons with glue dots. The center image is also popped up with Pop-Its.
So, what do you think?
Thank you for taking the time to look at my card.

Got to laugh, because not only did I think it would make a good sketch to use for the CCC quota this month, but we've even ended up beside each other in the gallery. I way prefer your card, though. It's sweet - love the buttons and the snowflake panels.
