I made this card for today's Tuesday Tea Party. We are really celebrating today because this is the one year anniversary of Cindy's tea parties and we are invited to tea with Queen of England! Check out all the festivities here: http://mothermark.blogspot.com/2009/...rsary-and.html
As everyone knows by now, this tea party crowd has a habit of getting out of hand and I'm a little worried about what the Queen will think! They've even brought down the guards from Buckingham Palace, just in case! Already Schirmcat and Mutnik have made a scene and who knows what else has happened before I arrived! Anyway, this will be a tea party to remember forever, I'm sure!
Thank you, Cindy, for hosting the fabulous tea parties for a whole year! Can't wait to see what the next year brings!

I love the way you brought out the gold for the visit with the queen. It really sets off the embossing around your flowers. I see you also brought out your pearls and your rubies -- what a classy looking card!

Carla, your card is so elegant... I'm sure the Royal Guards will escort you personally to have tea with the Queen herself!!! I don't know about the others....

Oh YOU put a furry hat on it, Missy! I did not cause a scene...REMEMBER? I was the ONE standing off to the side taking notes for Santa...but I must say that your hair is quite fabulous...did you stop off at Frederic Fekai after the plane ride?! HEE!
This card is so beautiful, Carla! I love how you made your panels, the perfect gold embossing, and the teensy red embellies!

What a classy card - and just a great layout for showcasing the teapot design. I love all that gold embossing - I just didn't have any suitable stamps. Hope you had a good flight over - it was nice for me to just have a short hop across the water this week .

Ooooo! I am so glad to see you here, Carla. MariLynn is telling lies about Bertie and she's stealing flowers from the Queen's garden, and Mutnik is attacking the guards, and Miss Rose is being a bit saucy with the guards, and, well, there's so much goin' on I can't keep it all straight. Maybe you can bring some sense to this rowdy group of party goers.
I love your beautiful embossing and coloring on these pretty flowers. A beautiful anniversary tribute to Mothermark. Oh, by the way, watch out; someone gave Cindy a needle and thread to fix Miss Rose's split in her tight dress. Oi vay!
