One of the girls in work today asked me could I make a teacher thank-you card for her. Well, I'd almost finished a *pretty* one when it occurred to me that possibly the teacher in question was a male. Yep...luckily the first one wasn't finished, so I've left it aside to finish later and made a more masculine version. Haven't made one of these for ages. Paper is Sassafrass Lass - Fawned of You Too. I followed the instructions in Judy's tutorial linked from the TLC164 challenge. For the cream tag printed the text on the computer, then I added an October Afternoon apple, and combined two stamps from Riveting - the Thanks stamped in brown, and the star in gold and embossed with gold ep. A punched circle, eyelet and fibres to finish. For the brown tag, I textured a piece of brown with the wood grain texture plate from Fiskars, and cut it to the same size as the cream tag. I cut a frame inside, but instead of cutting the bottom line, I scored it and cut an inch or so above the score line, so that I could fold it back on itself several times to make a ledge for the chalk. Backed this with black card and used a white gel pen to add the message. Cream circle, eyelets and fibres. The chalk is just a piece of wooden skewer painted with white acrylic paint.
