The challenge for this card was to use Faux Liquid Applique. I've never done this technique, but I wanted to try something different than the icing shown in the tutorial. I thought of snow! And it felt kind of funny making a Christmas card in the summer, but this is a technique that my oldest son even said to me, "You have to teach other people how to do this! It's amazing!"
I mixed in StazOn white ink into the flour/salt mixture (equal parts flour and salt, water, plus StazOn and then smooshed it onto the image). I sprinkled on dazzling diamonds, thinking that it would stick to the mixture (it did! yeah!), and then dried the whole thing with the heat gun.
After that, I watercoloured the rest of the image, and put it all down on the card base.
I love how this turned out....hope you agree.
