Last night I sat down with the CTMH-Relax stamp set and a piece of vanilla paper. This is what came out of it. It looks better in RL.
The fishing scene was stamped in Chocolate Chip and then sponged, stippled, daubed, and sponged some more all using colors from SU Earth Elements.
I used versa mark and 5 or 6 layers of UTEE thinking that I would use the cracked glass technique. Well, every time I would try to crack it, pieces of the UTEE would fly off. I ended up re-heating with my heat gun and trying to fill in the holes with more UTEE. I actually like the result because it looks distressed. Mounted on VV and Chocolate chip with distressed edges.
Ended up making a 5x5 card body out of Not Quite Navy. I sanded it to distress it but it still wasn't enough. I found a little piece of the self-adhesive mesh left in a bin and stuck it on. Used the rock and roll method on "relax" and the fish.
Fish have a small hole punched in them and are mounted on a small split ring I found in my jewelry making stuff. Also used some CTMH hemp and some jumbo brads.
What do you think?

This is a great father's day card! I love the main image panel! When you try to make cracked glass, do you put the paper in the freezer after the UTEE? That seems to work for me, but it is easier with smaller pieces. I love how you strung up your fish!
