Hi! I would like you to meet Michio from Michigan. In case you don't know, Michio is a Japanese name meaning "man on the (correct) path." Paper-pieced Michio is hopping his way through the tall Japanese grasses of Michigan to a sumo wrestlin' Japanese tea party in Colorado today! Our guest of honor is Hiroyuki (means "widespread happiness" in Japanese). Hiroyuki is a professional sumo wrestler and will be giving each of the tea party attendees free sumo wrestlin' lessons and a shot at wrestlin' with the Great Hiroyuki himself! Woo-hoo! If you check out da Muddermark's (er, I mean, Mothermark's) gallery, you can view a picture of the Great Hiroyuki and you'll understand why he was given the name he was.
Please do not ask me what the pink represents on the sample teapot.
Michio is going to have to enter through the back door to this week's tea party over at da Muddermark's because he is showing off his cute li'l bunny butt, and the tea party rules this week are if you are showing any kind of butt, you must enter through the back door. Michio doesn't mind, though, because unbeknownest to da Muddermark and Hiroyuki, Michio has spiked the Japanese tea with sake! Oh yeah, baby! We're gonna have a good time at this party! Who's bringing the sushi? Are we gonna be flinging sushi, Muddermark? I wanna fling sushi.
This fabulous sketch design was a challenge given to the Doubledog Dare Challenge group by our sweet friend, Bev (beestamper).

You are getting down right rowdy here. I like that in a person Lots of sushi slinging and sake...Yikes, I don't like either. Maybe I'll bring the Negimaki and Shumai!
There is no ugly butt here for sure. That's a cute little bunny butt. This card is adorable. Love your great colors and your perfect layout. Awesome!!!

Charlene, this is really cute. I like the blue and white polka dots. I like how you embossed the background. My brother in law is Japanese and when we were all in college together he tried teaching me some Japanese. All that stuck in my mind was udehsi (I know my spelling of it is probably, no is, attrocious). It was SHUT UP!!!! Like you would say to a dog or a small child. If the party gets too wild you might see me in the corner with my fingers in my ears chanting udehsi!!

Oh my, he's perfect. He reminds me of one of the traditional Japanese chiyogami paper patterns - with hares and the moon. Since you're obviously fluent in Japanese, maybe you can translate getto-mon for me ;-), so that I know if the paper is called after the moon or the hares.
I love all the embossing and piercing on this and your beautiful blue grass.
Sake, yikes - I don't have a high tolerance for alcohol, I'd better keep a hand over my cup. Unless Michio has spiked the whole pot, in which case it's just as well I brought my own.

Hey Bertie! You have grass stuck in your shoe laces! Glad you are here! Okay, since I have been waiting for you all to arrive on the terrace, this is what I have learned:
WHATEVER you do, DON'T step foot in the big circle right there. See that big circle? Cuz if you do, that big fat quy in the diaper will push you out, almost as soon as you step in and some times its sorta violent! He might be our host today but his has an attitude as big as his belly! Shhh! Here he comes!
What did you say? Huh? I can't hear! I got a piece of slimmy sushi stuck in my ear cuz I was trying to catch it before it hit Mrs. Hiroyuki in the keester! Do you know if Sumo wrestlers get more violent or less violent when they drink Sake. My thinking is that if he drinks enough of the stuff maybe then we can have tea in the circle! Yeah, lets to that!!
OMG! This card is so cute....I love bunny butts you know that! And a Japanese bunny butt is a new experience for me! Giggle! Your card is creative and fun. You, Marilynn, and Denise are gonna have to teach me some Japanese! I am confused! Thanks for coming.....so happy you are here this week even though since you got here we have slimmy stuff to deal with!

That is a cute butt! Not like Hiroyuki or I don't know the spelling. Well, seems we have Japanese speaking attendees here, I know we will have good Sushi. I love Sushi, so I am going back to prepare a plate and bring it to the party! TFS See ya in the circle, oh and Sake is good for the skin is it. Heard that once from a nice old Japanese lady...come to think of it, she was riding high on Sake when she said that! LOL

So very cute. I's much rather look at a bunny butt than a sumo wrestler butt. The colors are adorable. Who is spiking the tea already!!! Not only isn't it 5:00 here, it's not even 11 am yet! I'm still workin on my Starbucks chai - it's only spiked with non-fat milk.

Now this is a butt worth looking at. It is so soft and fuzzy. I have tasted sake before. Ick. About as bad as raw fish. Love your color combo. I think it is buttiful. I am sure this little hopper can come in the front door. I have heard Sumo wrestlers eat bunnies for breakfast.
