It's Monday, which means it's time, again, for another CCEE challenge. I am the hostess for our June challenges, and I challenged the group to make a tri-shutter card today. If you participate in the daily SCS challenges, you probably already know that this was a technique challenge a few weeks ago. I wasn't able to play in Lynn's challenge that week, but really wanted to try one of these cards. They look complicated but they are so easy to do!
There's a link to the tutorial listed in the TLC221 challenge. You'll note that a Scor Pal was used, but I do not own one. Instead of using a craft knife as suggested in the tutorial, I lined up my scored lines to cut from the 2" to the 10" mark on my Fiskar's cutter. It's easy to line up with the orange blade cutter as a guide.
I've had this Gone Fishing sign and fishies on a wire for a loooooong time and have finally put them to good use. I can't believe it, but there's no stamping on this card. I used some older SU designer paper from a scrapbook package, the fishing theme embellishments, large and small brads, and SU circle, oval, and word window punches. The polkadotted dp is chocolate and sage shadow, although it looks black in this photograph.
If you would like to play along and see the tri-shutter cards my friends made, please visit our CCEE blog: http://cceestampers.blogspot.com/

Charlene, my friend Mike would love this card. I love the design, the use of the lines to hold you fishies. I like it all. Don't you just love this fold? I do.....

This card is the most awesome thing! I love that you took this challenge and made a fun masculine card! The hooks rock! But you stink at fishing, cuz those are really small fish. You need to stick to card making, you are better at that! Snort!
