This is the card I designed for the North Texas Shoebox Swap (May 2009). This is the first time I've ever designed a card specifically to be completed in 10 minutes or less - what a challenge. I pre-stamped the "hello" and punched out both oval shapes to save some time.
The trees are wheeled with Kiwi Kiss ink and set aside to dry. Then I instructed the swappers to crumple up the Tango Tangerine cardstock - just ball it up and then flatten it out. The next step was to rub the Tango Tangerine inkpad all over to ink up the creases and folded areas on the cardstock. It's a fast way to get a grungy look. :-)
I instructed the swappers to adhere the layers on opposing angles to give it a fun and funky look, and then we finished it off with some dew drops. I hope all the ladies had fun playing with this one. :-)
