There is nothing like a good challenge and this card is made for two of them - I have used the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge for this week, their sketches are always a little bit 'outside the square' and I love that - it makes you think...so thank Priscilla and the DT...you girls ROK....if you haven't seen this challenge yet - I have to ask ' WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN!?!?' It is time you checked it out here:http://priscillastyles.blogspot.com/
The other challenge is in no way a quiet one - it is Mothermark's Tea Party, where everyone who is anyone is attending at some stage or other...you can find out all about it here and then join us: http://mothermark.blogspot.com/
Cindy....I am glad that you waited for me, as you can see I have gone to a lot of trouble to get myself in fitting attire for this 'event!' I heard a rumour that some of the chickens attending have chicken pox so came via the doctors and picked me up an innoculation - talk about 'ruffle my feathers!' So I am ready to Par-tay with all of the other 'Party Animals' LOL!!!
I brought one of my very own chickens along, she just loves to mingle with others - even been known to 'get clucky' although I am concerned that she might hang with the wrong sort....had better keep an eye on things....especially with that rooster 'strutting his stuff' - shudder!!!!
While getting this gal ready I applied some chalk to her glossy feathers and paper pierced around the edges of the image to make her stand out among the 'old chooks!' The fabulous black and white ploka dot DP was run through the Cuttlebug, Swiss Dots to be precise, to add more texture....the circle is layered onto white CS and then distressed....adding a layered half flower on each side of the circle - looks a bit like tail feathers to me!
Now....please bring on the tea...I am needing a hot cuppa, especially after that needle....I guess that would make me hard to 'spot!!' LOL!! Sorry - couldn't resist that one - I know...but it is late here - it's not called Midnight Madness for nothing!

This just pops out of the gallery. I love the sketch. Hmmmm I may have to try this one. Great chicken. Hope she doesn't have her eye on any of the roosters. There has been a bit of a fuss over who is hooking up at this party. Love this Linda. Great job.

What a sweet chick indeed. Love how you worke that polka dot in there Linda. Very clever. Fine take on both challenges.
Wonder if you think you can give my fluffed up chicken a run for her money...nah! This guy, just look at him, he has eyes only for her...well maybe for himself too, but not this one. Sorry, go look on the weird looking chicken side, I mean the one with 4 legs!!! LOL TFS

It's Lovely, Lovely Linda! It just popped out at me in the gallery! You know we will stay up for you.....wait for you....midnight or not! This card is precious and what a fun sketch! The polka dots/chicken pox are to die for (go figure) and the the red, black and white are the perfect colors for a teaparty at the barn....
Good thinking about stoppin' at the doctors office first! Make sure you mention that to the CDC officials when they interview you, if they interview you....as they have been having fun with the spiked tea so it might not even happen! Whoo Hoo! I am thinking about hiring a full time chapparone for future teaparties. I know how it feels to be worried about a critter and the possibility of getting in with the wrong crowd. Me thinks though, that the chapparone will just join the fun, like the government officials! Yikes!
Thanks for the fun story. Glad you came again this week and I hope your plan works.....that you can go home with no additional spots! Giggle! Thanks for the link!

Well Linda, this is, as always, so well done. You have made a chicken card look very good indeed! I love you coloring, symmetry, and buttons!
Of course, you would bring a proper chicken to the tea party. After the card with you sipping tea with the Queen for her birthday, I would expect nothing else!
