I made it to the tea party today - hooray! MariLynn sent me an adorable teapot pin, so it was my inspiration to get my butt in gear and join the fun. I poured myself a glass of raspberry iced tea, and this card is the result.
Cindy's teapot inspiration today was just so cute. You can check it out on her blog (http://mothermark.blogspot.com/) if you want to play along. I didn't know if I had any chicken stamps - I was afraid I might have to sneak in the back door with some pigs - but I found this chickie. Of course I had no polka dot paper, so I made my own. I used my CB and the Swiss dots EF on my black paper and then ran a Colorbox white pigment ink over it. The flowers are punches with gem centers.
I'm so glad I made it to the party today. We're having some periods of real hard storms today but I was able to get this card done without getting my party frock wet.
Thanks for taking a peek at my chickie.

Oh whew! Mary Ann! I am so glad you are here! And I am so glad your chickie's spots are behind him instead of on him! We have the Center for Disease Control hot on our trail cuz someone reported an influx of polka dotted poxed out chickens all congregating at one barn in particular! Yikes!
Your chickie will be a good decoy.....maybe she can keep the officers busy while we hide some chicken poxed chickies or better yet spike the tea and get them happy to be here! Snort!
So glad you came today with this precious card! I love the bright yellow with the black and white. It just screams happy! Marilynn is such a sweatheart. I suspect you got one of the cute little teapot pins I got too! Aren't they precious? Thanks for coming, thanks for the link and thanks for bringing a healthy chick! (we could use one!) Snort!

Well, MaryAnn, I see I am attending this tea party with some pretty amazingly talented and creative stampers, including you! (Note to self: when I run out of my beloved polkadotted paper, use dotted swiss ef and white craft ink to make my own---be sure to give credit to MaryAnnK.)
Your chick is so cute, and pox-free, I see! Some of the other chicks are coming with the pox, but Bertie is bringing m & m chocolate covered chicken eggs and they are a cure all for whatever ails you, including the pox!
da Muddermark is all stressed out about the CDC showing up, but I got her back with the m & m chococlate covered chicken eggs! All is well and life is good!

Well, if I ran a white inkpad over some swiss-dotted black card, I can tell you it wouldn't look like polka dots - I am impressed with yours! I've tried, and ended up dotting them all by hand, or else sanding white-core card. Love the way the little flowers on the card echo the one on the bird.
I think we must all be wearing those sweet little teapot pins from MariLynn to the party today.

Oh sooo cute! I am glad that this baby chick is tucked away inside, and not outside getting peer-pressured into the moonshining with his older counterparts! Awesome details!

By any chance, was it raining today in NJ? I cant remember the last time I've known you to upload so many cards in one day, girl. This is too fun. What a hoot your image is against the black swiss dots. You're just amazing!

I love your little baby chick with the flower. He looks right at home against the polka dot background. The red accents are so perfect for your card, and the jewels so sparkly. What a great teapot card!
