Now I'm trying different things to color behind these transparencies. This one was a professional photo to begin with--it was in our computer wallpaper folder. I have no idea who gets credit for the photography.
I colored this one with craft spots on the paper behind the acetate. I used the grayscale paper copy of the photo and colored directly on the paper, then put the acetate on top of it.
Cook22 asked how I knew where to color on the paper behind it--I cheated! I printed the grayscale photo on a piece of paper and just colored on the paper photo--then lined it up with the acetate. If you look carefully, I didn't quite get it lined up right, but it looks like it is part of the reflection.

Now there's a great workaround. But tell me, how do you know where to colour on the paper? Have you another copy behind the paper to give you a guideline? I did try stamping textured background behind mine, but dropped it.
This is another one that looks like a painting.

What a gorgeous picture and you have highlighted it with colour wonderfully!
