Hi! This card was made for today's Technique Loves Challenge: Acetate and Color.
I have a VERY large garden. I can grow just about anything, but choose not to grow my very favorite flower/bush....HYDRANGEAS. Why? Because, in the winter, the bush/flower dies back and all that's left are stalks of hard STICKS. And, as a child, I TRIPPED into a bush and would have been impaled if I hadn't been wearing a snow suit. I broke 4 ribs! ON A LITTLE BUSH! So...I just enjoy them in my neighbors' yards!
Last summer I took some flower photos in my garden and sneaked over to my neighbors yard and took a few shots of his Hydrangeas, and saved them to my hard drive to use for background paper, etc. I printed out a photo in GREY SCALE onto transparency paper and colored the OTHER side with Copic markers. Then, I cut it down and adhered it to WHITE card stock. That's the background!
The main image was stamped in Memento Cocoa and colored in with Colored Pencils and Odorless Mineral Spirits.

Beautiful and creative as always Faith. Love hydrangeas so much. I can see why you keep bushes at a distance after your childhood trauma. Guess you can't trip over a photo!!! LOL!!! TFS!
