I love finding new challenges and thought I would try this one seeing as I have more cards to do for a request for humourous (that spelling doesn't look right - does it!?!?) cards....so I am looking for any help I can get for variety....the colours were from Dusk to Dawn - Purple and Yellow....not colours I normally use, but I do like them....I have discovered that I am seriously lacking in any shade of purple....funny that....I don't have any particular dislike for the colour....just don't have much of it!
These gorgeous gals have been getting around lately....I have chalked them using cotton buds/Q Tips and a blender pen....layered them on purple, then mauve DP and backed with a darker purple edges with the Fiskar Sunburst Punch....I have added purple strips on the yellow DP and then layered a thinner strip of yellow adding ribbon and an embellishment to the top layer and gems to the bottom layer.
I have kept it fairly simple as the papers and punches are busy...I wasn't that fussed on it but both my DH and neighbour really liked it and talked me into it....so....what do you think!?!?!
OOh I love this image Linda and your chalking is beautiful - pretty effect with the paper pricked border. Love your papers and punching and your ribbon and charm are a perfect finishing touch.
Thank you for joining us in our first challenge at "Stampinfor the Weekend" and we hope you will play along with us on a weekly basis. Good Luck.

it's a lovely card Linda, love your choice of papers, and the image is so funny. So nice to see a humourous image, as there aren't that many available. Great job on the punched border you've done, and the ribbon looks fabulous. You may not be that pleased with it, but remember we are our own worst critics....listen to hubby and your neighbour, it's a grand job.
And thank you for playing along in our first Stampin' for the Weekend challenge. Hope to see you playing along again. Have a wonderful weekend.

Hi Linda. You did a great job and I love the card. The color combination is great and frames the image nicely. The added details, such as paper piercing, gems, and cute little purse are all beautiful finishing touches. 2 Thumbs up on this one!! Bev

Love the colours you've used Linda, I recently used this stamp to make a card for a workmate but used a black & white theme. It's great to see it used in another colour scheme. I really like all the Emerson stamps, aren't they great!
