Yay! My new Verve goodies arrived today - I am sooo excited about the new balloon set (Up Up and Away). When I opened it I had a bit of a 'a-ha!' moment when I looked at the plain balloon - my first thought was 'I wonder whether I can fit a sentiment in there...?' And lo and behold - the birthday sentiment from Birthday Surprise worked perfectly! I decided to combine today's colour challenge with the Mojo Monday contest this week.
I stamped the balloon using Memento ink onto watercolour paper and coloured with inkpads and an aquapainter. I added shadow with a copic marker. The butterfly was done in the same way and cut out.
The DSP is from My Mind's Eye and matched perfectly with today's colour combo. I added a neutral of Chocolate Chip (hope that's ok!!). I just received my new Fleur de Lis border punch which I LOVE so I had to use that. I added Riding Hood Red ribbon, some flat pearls and paper piercing to finish it off.
TFL!
