Here is the close up of some of the 7 peace cards I made for the CCC09 challenge for May. They aren't all the same because I was making a sincere effort to use up some of my scraps. By the time I got around to making these my right hand (yep, the one I write with) was in pretty bad shape due to my trigger thumb, so I knew I needed something simple.
Martha Stewart's Dove punch provided the solution. I was able to use not only the punched dove images, but also used the cut out of the dove in other cards by punching that out with a square punch - I do not know if you can tell from the photo, but the card on the left was made using the dove and the remaining two were made with the cut outs.
The 'Peace' sentiment is from either Stampin' Up!'s Wonderful Words or Wonderful Words II set, I am sorry, but I do not recall which one.
Even though these are wicked simple, I really like them because
1) they are 'USPS friendly' (i.e. not chunky embellishments)
2) they are 'green' (reduce, reuse, recycle - every day is Earth day!), and
3) they are good to send to people when you do not know their religion, everyone wants peace right?
I think I am going to do more of these in different colors with Martha's other stamps - the snowman, the tree, the reindeer... Great way to crank out some nice holiday cards when you are short on time.
Thank you for taking the time to look at my cards. Have a great day!

Thank you! I've been looking for a dove stamp that I like, but the dove punch is great. By changing the colors to red and white, this will be ideal for my niece's Confirmation in the fall.

So pretty! I have that peace stamp, so I think I will be casing you. I just can't bring myself to make a Christmas card in June, though (even if it is a really smart idea!).
