This weekÂ’s TSC was to do a Faux Wood technique, colors Red and Brown and one more your choice. I chose green. So. I have our anniversary coming up, I needed to think of a way (I am so short on time lately) to incorporate the two. I had never done a faux wood and was a little intimidated by it initially, then after watching this video - http://www.5min.com/Video/How-to-mak...-Card-77393209
By Dawn5377, I thought well, that doesn’t seem so bad. I need a lot more practice. I wanted to do a tree trunk and carve my anniversary message in it, That done I needed something ‘red’.
In the middle of the night it came to me! A woodpecker! Yes, I am ROFLOL! So this morning I downloaded a Redheaded Woodpecker and added him to the tree. He is my carving culprit.

Thank you my twin Shirley for a true challenge! I sure hope you like it.

Oh my gosh you are clever. I LOVE this. I would have never thought of a wood carving. Everytime I see one of these I just smile. He is going to love this. Your carving and tree look real. I have a woodpecker that thinks my brick house is a good place to sharpen his bill. I can send him your way... Hehehe. Great job.
