This is for today's Christian Paper Crafts Magazine challenge to watercolor something. I cheated on my own challenge. I used Prismacolor pencils with odorless mineral spirits. There's ink and liquid involved in both and you smear it around so I figured I was close enough.
I used my new Kim Hughes Summer Trees set recently released from Cornish Heritage Farms. My base is SU Close to Cocoa and I layered on Me & My Big Ideas Traveler designer paper. I zig-zag stitched where the DP meets and stitched around the entire card as well. I tied some SU ribbon on the left side with some twine tied in a bow. ThereÂ’s a little fence at that corner as well that I probably should have left out, but oh well. I stamped my large tree image onto SU Kraft and colored with Prismacolor pencils and odorless mineral spirits using 2 different colors of green and 2 different colors of brown. Coloring on Kraft paper is awesome. ItÂ’s just a whole different look than white paper. I cut my image out and adhered it to my DP with SU Dimensionals. I then got out my Dymo and with black tape made my sentiment. I also stamped a birdie onto my DP and paper pieced that out. What do you think? Thank you for looking and God bless you.
